Call of Duty League fixes one of pro play’s biggest issues ahead of Major 3
Treyarch collected feedback from fans and pro players after Major 2 and made a much-needed map pool change to improve matches moving forward.
On February 4, at the start of Black Ops 6 Season 2, Treyarch added Bounty and Dealership to the Ranked Play map pool so players could test out their competitive viability. In addition, the devs added the PPSh-41 SMG and Cypher 091 Assault Rifle to see if players wanted them permanently.
Testing showed that the Cypher 091 AR massively outperformed the AMES-85, while the PPSh-41 performed far below expectations and failed to come close to overtaking the KSV or the Jackal PDW. Meanwhile, neither map left much of an impression.

Fans questioned why the league is adding Dealership even though players and pros have already voted against having it after the initial map test in Season 2.
“Dealership SnD is the biggest go f**k yourself that I’ve seen the CDL do cause, lord, that map as a whole isn’t competitive in the slightest,” Challenger player Gunless added.
